Aspartame - Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World

If the video won't play, click here to watch

This is the documentary that Coca-Cola and Pepsi don't want you to see. The sweet neuro-toxic chemical "aspartame" was pushed through the FDA by Donald Rumsfeld's Searle corporation and now appears in over 7,000 different foods including almost all sodas and chewing gums. Aspartame poisoning has been linked to headaches, fatigue, abdominal/chest pains, anxiety attacks, severe mood swings, sleep disorders, depression, seizures, memory loss, Alzheimer's disease, birth defects, mental retardation, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors and much more.

Aspartame: What You Don't Know Can Hurt You

I actually overheard two guys yesterday drinking Coke Zero. One said, "so there's no sugar in this? But it's just as sweet as usual." The other guy gives a cursory look at the ingredients on the can and says, "yeah, there must be some sweet chemical in here instead that's probably worse for you than sugar." Then he lifts it to his lips and finishes off the can. Epic apathetic fail.

On the other hand I was talking to a yoga teacher about her being vegetarian and while we both had different paths to becoming veggie we both agreed the clincher was that we felt much much lighter and more healthy after cutting out meat. The thought of returning to meat was not desirable.

I mentioned how I also 'never' get ill and she said "well, do you smoke?" no, "drink", rarely, "take outs?" no, "canned drink," no, just loads of green tea, - she concluded "well the good diet means you can't get ill, also a good mind and outlook."

The thought of a McTesti or a can of acid cola is not a desirable thing..

Agreed. There have been studies showing the vegetarians live longer than meat-eaters:

Vegetarians Live Longer

Whenever people ask me I always tell them how much more energy I have, how light I feel, and how much healthier I am. The last time I ate a hamburger I threw it up in one heave 10 minutes later. My body just won't accept the poison anymore. After you make the purposeful transition, your taste buds become refined and you genuinely enjoy healthy foods more than junk. The thought of soda or burgers sounds gross to me now too... I'd much rather have a fruit shake any day... but when I was a kid I'd have laughed at that thought.
